Global Trade & Customs

We represent foreign exporters and local producers in investigations before the Ministry of Trade. We have broad experience in investigations concerning import safeguard measures and antidumping made by the Imports General Directorate of the Ministry of Trade. We act as counsel to Turkish producers on the plaintiff side as well as to foreign exporters on the interested party side.

Via our extensive experience, we ensure to extract the right type of import data and product descriptions by working closely with our clients. We then combine such data and descriptions with our technical legal background in an effort to build the most solid thesis possible. We also act as counsel to Turkish exporters in collaboration with our associated firms in other countries for investigations being held abroad concerning Turkish exporters.

Our Trade & Commerce Practice Partner provides a complete range of services. Our team members frequently deal with commercial transactions and related legal issues, from drafting and negotiating complex distribution agreements, agency agreements and franchise agreements, to restructuring and maintenance of cross-border commercial activities including advisory on consumer protection, customs-related activities, warranty certificates and regulations on after-sales services.

We advise major industrial, financial services, IT, consumer products, pharmaceutical and energy companies on sourcing, manufacturing, distributing and selling their products and services around the world. We help clients select, monitor and manage their relationships with third-party suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and sales agents, and advise them on compliance issues across the supply chain spectrum such as anti-corruption, anti-bribery, trade sanctions, export and import controls (customs) as well as product labelling requirements, product liability and recalls, and sales promotion and marketing rules across multiple countries.
